To prevent any external disruptions during coding and avoid potential issues, kindly adhere to the instructions outlined below.

Windows:
1. To begin, please download the installation package that was sent to you via email and extract the contents of the package.
2. Make sure vcredist.x64 (in install download) is installed first, BU cannot run without it, this is already installed on many machines, if it is already, disregard.
3. If you plan on using ESYS (optional), you will need to install version 3.38.2 or higher and download the psdzdata, which should be placed in the C:\Data folder.
4. Install Utility using BimmerUtility_Installer.exe.
5. If error ".NET CORE required" error pops up, install "Framework_Fix.exe".
6. When installing, make sure internet connection is present throughout install.
7. Activation code is locked to machine that it is first used on. This cannot be changed.
IOS & Android:
1. Download the app from the App Store or Play Store.
2. Once installed, please open the app and allow BimmerUtility to download the required data.
3. Click on the icon with three horizontal lines located at the top left corner of the user interface and select "App Settings". In the settings menu, you can enter your registration code and sign in to your account.

1. Please switch on the car's ignition. If you have a G-Series vehicle, you will also need to activate the diagnostic mode by pressing the start button three times in rapid succession without engaging the brake or clutch pedal.
2. Make sure that there is no gear engaged (for vehicles with automatic transmission, ensure that the selector lever is in position P) and that the parking brake is engaged.
3. Ensure that all electrical accessories such as lights, heating, ventilation, etc. are turned off.
4. If there is any third-party hardware connected to the CAN bus in your car (such as MMI, JB4, rear view camera, or exhaust flap control), please disconnect or disable it. This is necessary as the communication may be disrupted and the coding may fail due to interference from such hardware.

WINDOWS:
- WIRED ENET: Plug the ethernet cable into the PC and the vehicle, the adapter should be ready to connect after a few seconds.
- WIRELESS ENET: Plug the adapter into the vehicle, join the adapters wifi network on your PC. You are ready to connect.
Go to settings, over by remote ip hit the read button to find the gateway ip, and then bind it. Esys and ISTA should be closed. Additionally, you can get the gateway IP from Esys paste it into the remote ip section, and bind it.
APPLE:
- WIRED ENET:
1. Ensure that no other apps that might be using the OBD adapter are running in the background. Force quit them if necessary.
2. Insert the adapter into the OBD port.
3. Turn on the Airplane mode on your iOS device.
4. Disable Bluetooth on your iOS device.
5. Open the iOS Ethernet settings and wait for an IP address to be assigned.
6. Open the app's settings and verify that the correct adapter type has been selected.
7. Tap "Connect" on the app's start screen.
8. Grant the app permission to access the local network if prompted.
- WIRELESS ENET:
1. Ensure that no other apps that might be using the OBD adapter are running in the background. Force quit them if necessary.
2. Insert the adapter into the OBD port.
3. Turn on the Airplane mode on your iOS device.
4. Disable Bluetooth on your iOS device.
5. Enable Wi-Fi on your iOS device.
6. Go to the iOS settings and disable CarPlay by selecting your car under Settings > General > CarPlay and turning off CarPlay.
7. Access the iOS Wi-Fi settings and connect to the adapter's network.
8. Keep the distance between the adapter and the iOS device as close as possible.
9. Tap "Connect" on the app's start screen.
10. Grant the app permission to access the local network if prompted.
ANDROID:
- WIRED ENET:
1. Make sure that no other apps are running in the background that may be using the OBD adapter. If necessary, force quit them.
2. Insert the adapter into the OBD port.
3. Turn on Airplane mode on your Android device.
4. Go to Settings > Connections > More connection settings > Ethernet > Configure Ethernet device.
5. Select "Static IP" and enter the following details (Ethernet tethering may need to be enabled on some mobile devices.):
IP Address: 169.254.250.250
Netmask: 255.255.0.0
Default gateway: 1.1.1.1
DNS address: 1.1.1.1
6. After entering the details, disconnect the cable and connect it again to allow the changes to take effect.
7. On the app's start screen, tap "Connect."
- WIRELESS ENET:
1. Make sure that no other apps are running in the background that may be using the OBD adapter. Force quit them if required.
2. Connect the adapter to the OBD port.
3. Disable Bluetooth on your Android device.
4. Enable Wi-Fi on your Android device.
5. Turn on Airplane mode on your Android device.
6. In your Android Wi-Fi settings, locate and connect to the adapter network.
7. Keep the distance between your Android device and the adapter as close as possible.
8. On the app's start screen, tap "Connect."
